I think that stock resonator is key to getting that tone you were after

wow, sounds sick... thanks for sharing all of this... is this R&D for an exhaust coming to market, or just your own project? I think I'd seriously consider buying if it were a product for the general public...

Just my own project. You can easily have a good muffler shop make you something like this and order the Vbands and muffler from the same people other manufactures get their parts from and be done for under $1500 for sure.
