Replaced starting, now car acting up

so last week my car wouldnt start and had to get my car towed from school. I knew it was the starter because the day before i had replaced my battery with new oem battery.

I ordered new starter and went to work on installing it. The entire procedure of removing the intake manifold was quiet stressful. I ended up braking two crankcase hoses. I bought new ones and installed them with new starter.

Once i had finished installing everything and putting everything back together, I started the car. Right when i start the car, it sounded like a champ. Couple seconds later i began to smell a burning smell, so i turned the car off and tried looking for anything burning but nothing. I started the car up once again and left it on for couple minutes. All of a sudden the engine began shaking and the car began to rev on its own. I took it out for a spin and the ride was like before. Except now that i turn off and on the car i get this engine shake and the car begins to rev a little. What is causing this? Did i mess up something? Please help?

Double check to make sure all the hoses and connectors are properly and securely fitted.

When I sea foamed my car you needed to remove the vacuum line and that made the revs bounce. Which means one of your hoses isn't sealed. Simple fix and there no real damage that can be done to your car by having the hose off so just fix it and you'll be fine

I looked over tire manifold and all hoses are secured. I have taken it off again and will be putting it back on tonight.

Did you remove your fuel rail? Did you spill fuel on the ignition coils? Have the coils been replaced? You should replace all 6 at 100k miles, order them from bmwpartspros.com you can get them for $300 a set.

Your spark plugs should also be replaced at that mileage.

There is also a hose at the bottom of your manifold and the crank case breather hose that is difficult to attach. Check thise
