Sooner you order, the faster you receive it. There are a lot of pre-orders going in now.

From what i've read, it is not really effective towards keeping your intake valves clean. There are a few threads on here where people get walnut shell blasting and have perfectly clean valves, then put on the OCC, check their valves within a few thousand miles and they are gunked up again.

That has nothing to do with the Oil blow by. Direct injection in itself is a "dirty" process.

Because their is no fuel going over the intake valves to clean them over-time the combustion process leaves soot and carbon residue which in turn gunks the valves.

The only thing the OCC does is reduce if not completely stop your intercooler and intake tract getting oil and further gunking up valves even more.

They will still gunk up eitherway with or without an OCC but be worse without an OCC much faster.

The OCC does exactly what it says: Catch oil being recirculated in your intake/fmic. Just like upgrading your charge pipe or diverter valves/bov, you do it because its a smart supporting modification

For the additional length of hose required for the OCC, what material did everyone use? If you use a rubber hose, it will eventually crack (oil and rubber don't mix). Or does this happen over a long period of time and should be of no concern?

Sorry to revive the thread, but I was looking at the install guide, and it mentions cutting a 16-17" 3/4" hosing. Does this come with the kit, and is it pre-cut?

I would hate to buy the kit and have to make a trip to my hardware store. (I'm not very good with hands on stuff)

Thanks

The BMS kit comes with the hose, I did have to cut mine shorter to make fit like I wanted; I also cut off the end of my engine cover as well to make it fit better. Was kind of hesitant about this but you can't see it since that part is under the cabin filter anyway.

Can someone tell me if they actually find a lot of oil in the can? I read in other forums that very little to no oil was caught after 6 months and they thought it was a waste of money...?

Included and much longer than needed. I cut off to leave 17" which was to long and then trimmed to 16.5" and pleased I didn't go shorter as the Can mount is JUST aligned with a recess in the ventilation cover and some car hardware below the can that would conflict if pipe was shorter / mounted closer to bulk head.

Digging up n older thread here. I think I will be getting an OCC. After installing it, should I clean my intercooler and hoses from the damage that was already done from not having an OCC? If there is oil already there will it eventually go away if no more oil is coming though after installing the OCC?

Maybe it was there from before you ha the OCC? This is my questions. If the fmic and intake parts already have some oil in it from not having the OCC, after installing the OCC should you clean these parts that are already contaminated?
