N52 with Supersprint Headers, full race exhaust and off-road tune

My buddy and I are building a 2007 Z4 3.0si coupe as a full blown race car.
We just installed Supersprint headers and will do a full custom exhaust with race mufflers and an off-road tune by AA. It'll need to be finished by this Friday for the 12 Hour Devil in the Dark at NJMP.
I will post up photos and hopefully some video once we're finished.

In a couple weeks we'll get a dyno run on the car as well. We do not have a before unfortunately to compare to.

Hey all,
I took some installed pics of the wrapped headers, but I'm traveling this week. I will post pics on Friday this week.
We didn't race the Z4 because we didn't finish the car in time (rest of the exhaust fabrication, diff cooler install, new rotors, some wiring, seat and belts).

Okay, I have a free moment between meetings so I'm able to give you an update with pics.

For the CEL issues - we do not have any cats on the car. It is a full, straight through exhaust with a cross-over pipe between the two pipes placed approximately right before the rear cross-brace (haven't fabbed it yet, but looks to be the best place to put it). We installed an off-road AA tune as well. I'm not sure of all the issues it addressed, but we told them everything that we have on the car and they programmed accordingly.

We are hoping to make 300hp at the crank. We also have the Dinan CAI and Dinan Throttle Body. Bimmerworks is a Dinan dealershipt. I've been told Dinan is building the N52s for several race teams. They currently build the engines for the Ganassi Racing Team in ALMS.
BTW: We're also running a Diffsonline LSD with 3.91 gears. Should make 6th gear usable for the track.

What part of the pipes did you put exhaust wrap? I'm wondering is it even beneficial to wrap my whole Eisenmann stainless steel mid-pipe? From the beginning of the midpipe up to where the muffler inlet is. No eventual cracking?

We didn't have enought wrap to do the entire header, so we stopped right after the three pipes come together. Maybe we will finish the entire header to keep under hood temps down.

Here's a pic of the car right after it was finished getting wrapped. Chrome green/black.

That's interesting you have Dinan n52 parts. Last time I checked their site, I didn't see a single thing for the Z4 n52, and when I followed up with a call, they said they didn't see themselves offering anything b/c the market was too small.

Btw if you ever have a free day, I'll still take those other parts off you. Maybe meet at NJMP or something... ie front wheel liners and trunk trim =)

+1 to Dinan making parts for the N52. I didn't know that they supported the motor at all. Quite curious how you're going to get to 300 bhp. Seems like a prettty good stretch for the motor.

I believe he has the n52 in his street car and makes ~285hp last it was dynoned. I don't recall if that was wheel or crank. But he said they are shooting 300hp crank.

Crank HP in my car is about 270-275.

The race car has no emissions to worry about so it's totally free breathing with no restrictions. A street car with emissions I would think would have some issues hitting that number.
300hp may be a stretch, but we're hoping it's close to that.

RMP Motors in Canada is using the N52 for their e90 race car. They are making 298 RWHP and spinning it up to 8,500rpms!

Next week I'll check for the parts. Still in Phoenix this week.
