Its funny, we like it low but honestly, if it were any lower the underside would be scraped to SHIT! Front bumper after front bumper after front bumper. I cared more about low clearance when I was 19...at 26 my tastes have matured, BAM! Sallgood

I like it.
but I don't see any reason that I have to switch to new 335is.

I can see your side...I used to feel that way..but honestly fog lights don't really perform that much better than the head lights. I would only turn on my fog lights because a car with more lights looked better...it was simply an aesthetic thing. I like the look of the deleted lights in favor of the added cooling. As for the side mirrors they probably look “normal” in black along with the other black highlights but its the fact that they are black and not the color of the body paint is what makes them look huge, like mickey mouse ears. I bet on a black 335is the mirrors would not look so large. The tail lights are nice but I find the headlights much more impressive when it comes to the lighting updates. The angel eyes are pure white instead of the older off white yellowish color, the corner turn signals are clear when they are not illuminated and they have a cool design with those individual LED divots, and there is this gorgeous opaque eye brow which looks great! Rather than adding an eyebrow its kinda cool that its integrated into the light unit. |

You said it best! I feel pretty much feel the same way and as a bimmer fan I love all of the line especially the M3’s. I dint want a big V8..no matter how much it would satisfy those alpha male urges, I simply love the BMW inline 6. I just ordered a custom 335is and at age 26 I am damn grateful to be able to purchase one.

Kudos to Jason for the pictures!
The 335is in my oppinion is far better than a 335i, the only 1up the 335i MIGHT have over the 335is is that they have the new N55 engine. The N54 with dual turbo is still a proven engine but that 7 speed DCT is very titilating. All that black trim looks so good instead of the ugly, gaudy, blinggy chrome. The 335is has a clean, sleek, elegant look that makes people stop and stair without shinny things saying “HAY, HERE LOOK AT ME!” The reason I love this 335is is because BMW recognized the amount of tuner enthusiast out there and instead of just saying they wanted to provide a tuner car for the bimmer fans they delived! I used to like all the chrome on a car.....back when I was 19...but at 26 my tastes have changed, matured, I love the cleaner subtle look the 335is offers. The black grille, window trim, side mirrors, the sport body kit, dual sports exhaust, sleek simple sports wheel, dual turbo, DCT, and countless more juicy treasures. Other than an aftermarket spoiler I might just keep this a strictly BMW parts car and add some items from BMW Performance. The extra badges don’t bother me that much, the interior trim I wasnt fond of when I first saw it when the first pictures were released but grown on me and compared to the wood grain glossy interior the clean sport look is much better suited. Hints of carbon fiber are nice but I would not want any carbon firber for interior trim. This is probably a special edition that probably will not be around for long, a few years, which is why I decided to custom order one fully loaded with 7 speed. And because the 335is is a special tuner aimed car I decided to go with a white exterior and a red interior kind of harkens back to those BMW tuner days of the 80’s. Three months till delivery are going to be a bitch. I was going to order a 335i two years ago but for some reason decided to wait a year or two, I am happy I did. |

the badges under the side markers need to go, and those mirrors need to be swapped out with the smaller ones

only one issue, maybe 2. wheels look too small. and those headlights are too big looks like this , not aggressive enough they should have kept the original ones and just changed the projectors and all that stuff inside the headlight. i need to photoshop this

Headlights now look like a 1 series headlights. They took the mean look out of the front end. the interior badging on the passengers side is tacky. But the tail lights are a nice upgrade and I'm sure the engine is too.

Only thing I would change from the factory is the dash badge done in fish skin. and the gray badged gauges. I could do without the side marker badges, but those are easy enough to remove after the fact. Love the exterior styling, and I don't mind the mirrors. They aren't the greatest, but it could be worse, they could have put mirrors from an F-150 on it.

I think the front looks fine, I like the jagged shapes along the bottom of the front bumper where the fog lights would have been. The previous 335i front was too toyish and round, the lines flowed to easily, now the bumper is a little chopped up. I think it looks better than the M3 front. How did BMW mess it up? The problem with bogs is people post a quick sentence and thats it, give some specific reasons why you don't like it, you can't just say it looks toyish. I liked it so much I ordered one! C'mon peep I want to debate....the 335is is a fantastic car, I am happy they came out with this model because there were too many things I would want to change if I were to buy a 335i...the 335is satisfies that sportier look without all that nasty chrome. |
