Hi, what's everyone's thoughts on one of these on a titan silver pre lci 320d SE? Don't want something that looks like it doesn't belong. My car is standard apart from Blacklines and smoked side repeaters.
Thanks. Craig. |

I agree - it's subtle enough for any variant I think.

I've seen this £45 ebay spoiler mentioned before, looks great for the price.
Just had some questions for you guys who have fitted this: - The OP mentioned the colour isnt an exact match, how much off is it? I also have a Le Mans Blue M Sport, has anybody got any top view closer shots? - The tape that is supplied is 3M right? Is this strong enough? - Finally, I assume you all fitted it yourselves, how easy/hard was it? Did you find it hard to get it lined up and spot on? I am a bit OCD about these things and worried if I mess it up it wont look right and will bother me. For only £45 im tempted to order one - just after I can get these answers ;-) Cheers |

In bright sunlight the lip is very slightly darker - but to be honest this is probably due to normal fading of my paint against the lip which was painted last month. If I hadnt really scrutinised it - I wouldnt have noticed it.
Your car may have faded less (or more) than mine, so until you get it you wont know. I was concerned about the match too, but it is about as close as you're going to get without getting a real professional colour match done. Don't know whether the tape is actual 3M, but mine was strong enough. I gave the area a good clean with isopropynol first and it stuck like "shit to an army blanket" as the saying goes. As for fitting, I took my time getting it lined up exactly as I wanted it (without removing the tape backing). Then I marked the position of each end of the lip by using masking tape to "draw" around the edges of the ends. This way when I lifted it off to remove the backing off the adhesive tape, I could place each end exactly where I had just removed it from. You have to get it right first time or you are going to have a hell of a job getting it back off! But it wasnt difficult and only took about 15 mins of moving it a mm this way and back again and then double checking that I was happy and marking the ends. Quote:

Thanks! Sounds OK to me. Think I'm going to go for it.
One other question - there's a few ebay sellers from taiwan selling these and members here buying them from various ones. any ideas who is the best for quality/price? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAINTED-BM...ht_5106wt_1163 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Painted-BMW-...ht_3688wt_1396 Cheers |

Looks pretty good to me and at that price you can't argue!

The driver came back yesterday and found the box when I got home from work last night, so fitted this morning.
Heres some pictures, excuse the dirt and watermarks, didn't bother drying it and this happens. Picture of spoiler upside down. Fitting kit. Also comes with 'engrish' instructions. Not that overly great as it doesn't exactly tell you what to do with the fitting kit although I guessed myself. Before. After. Rear shot. There is a slight discrepancy in the shade however given the spoiler is freshly painted I guess you could expect that although its barely noticeable. |

I noticed the second link is from eBay.com not .co.uk. Did that affect your price ($) or shipping to UK when you ordered? Cheers |
