Who's used a Swissvax authorised Detailer?

Hi All,

I'm looking at getting my car a Full paint correction detail and a sealant applied to last as long as possible.

Has anyone used a Swissvax authorised Detailer? what did you make of their work?

I'm looking a 3 day correction detail which includes applying AQuartz (www.aquartz.net). Apparently they have to bake it on with a heat gun and should provide sealant protection for 2 years.

Thats £550 all in. Could just have a Swissvax Crystal Rock Wax applied for £400(with paint correction)

The guy who I will use is http://mercurydetailing.co.uk/default.aspx

If anyone has used him specifically and can comment that would be great!

I've never had a paint correction detail before and don't want to be paying over the odds just because I'm a newbie.

Apparently the "aquartz" stuff is scratch resistance to most light scrathes.

All advice welcome, £500 is the top end of my budget.

Thanks

Unsure why application of Aquartz has a £150 premium over wax. The product itself is about £30.
The correction would need to be the same regardless of wax or sealent.

Its argued that Aquartz has better Swirl filling capabilities than wax so in theory, alleviating the need to finish down so well

In my opinion, Aquartz durability is merely marketing at this point. It has not been around long enough for anyone to claim 2 years durability and no long term, accelerated test results have been published to substantiate those claims.

There are other sealents on the market, where those claims have been substantiated. You'll find more at detailing world.

As with most things, its a case of you pay your money and take your choice.

enjoy.
