VMR V810 Flow Formed fatigue failure

I purchased these rims last year from Pyspeed. I was optimistic because they were flow formed and shouldn't fail like cheaper cast rims. They have 30k miles on them.

Yesterday my low tire pressure light came on. Crap. Right rear was down to 20psi. Put some air in it and continued my day. Went home, jacked the car up to find the nail or screw in the tire to repair and didn't find one. Checked the valve stem for leaks. None. Started inspecting the rim.....

Metal fatigue failure where the spoke is connected to the rim barrel. I thought these were supposed to be flow forged for the SPECIFIC reason to not do this. I contacted VMR and waiting for them to wake up and reply. I expect nothing less than manufacturer replacement, this is unacceptable. I wonder if my other rims have fatigue cracks like this, just not leaking yet. I'll check tonight after work when I get my OEM rims out of storage to install. I can't drive on this.

Cool that they stand behind their wheels. Forgestar does not. I have a set of cracked and leaking Forgestars in my garage.

Forgestar = Crap Wheel.

I admire when companies stick around the forums and help members out with issues like this, a single post like this can go a long way for company rep!
