Exclamation Popped in 2 say 'Hi'

Well I've been lurkin a while so I guess it was time to get onboard.

I've not had a BM for many years now, but I'm just waiting to take delivery of 320d Edition M-Sport Touring.

I've been in an AUDI for the pass 3.5 years, so be gentle with me!

Cheers for the reply Carlos and beemerbird,

I'm Rayleigh way, and not quite believ'in that the car will be delivered early Sept.

It's a company car, and we were told that 'Editions' were no longer on offer, it's me and a couple of work colleagues getting the same motor, gotta luv that low tax.

Ooooo I've not just owned MGs I also have a non-running E30 Convertible in my shed which is a project!

In my driving career I have owned 2 BMWs (and the non-runner counting a third), 3 Porsche, 2 MGs (counting my current Midget) and an Alfa. So you can say I have an open mind about motorcars.

Didn't just randomely turn up on here I got invited to a meet, (had a Mk. 1 MX5 at the time) and stuck around since!!

Projects! Yes I remember them, but the wife made me sale them!

I've wasted alot of money over the years!

Best to stick to company cars now, just pay the tax.

Lol you can't say that to a terminal Classic Car addict It's not money wasted, it's money well spent keeping a nice old car on road that may not otherwise be given the chance.

You could say I am the E90 Correspondent on Classic Cars or Old Bangers

Company cars, oh yawn, none have character lol though they do say the fastest car is the one you don't own yourself ....

Really, the E90 is lovely and aren't boring even though they do things the way they should and are safe!

Mmmmmmmm! I'm just into playin it safe now days!

But I like to think that gettin the BM is not to safe.

Only time will tell!

I think that that my last car an Audi A4, SE, Saloon, Auto was very safe.

When the idea of a BM came up I thought it has to be a manual, get the whole driving experience.

Hope I'm not wrong!

Yeah you'll like it

The 320d is good, 0-60 in circa 8, top speed of 140 odd I think! Hopefully when / if I can afford to lease a new car as a m-way cruncher it'll be a 320d, though a Coupe. Doubt it'll be anytime soon and I would never, ever have a modern car as my only car but thats just me, I like little old cars, they are a challenge!

Glad you went manual, how can you not? Absolute bargain, you get three pedals for the price of two

Thumbs up

Gettin the 320d at first was all about the numbers:

Low tax

MPG

Power/Speed

But now I've got the BM Bug and the days can't pass quickly.
