Robbing scum came back.

Out gigging tonight and Ali got a phone call from a neighbour. House broken into through kitchen window. My TTS spare keys found and stolen. Nothing else taken. Can't begin to describe how we feel. Police have just left. Car is safe at bodyshop getting mirrors replaced. Bloody hell. What next???

Not good at all. Time to move on after all this.

I wonder why they have stolen the keys when the car is not there to steal?

Would they be as stupid to come back yet again for the car, or have they been watching enough to know where it is now and get access to it?

Gutted, i had a 5 door white S3 and that was stolen, my friend had a black 3 door S3 and guess what...........stolen.

It really pisses me off, you cant have anything these days without some scumbag stealing it.

I have now invested in a post that comes out of the ground on my driveway.

Hopefully thats enough of a deterant along with the cctv in the house.

Hope they dont come back

Shame, things like this happen

You hear alot of these especially Audi Rs models, when I had a r32 heard a few of these on the forum too. When i had it I was always twitchy about it

I heard people would leave flyers on cars in car park, the driver doesn't notice until getting out of the space, so they jump out and get it and then guess what

Sounds very odd this. Almost like they've done it to 'get one over you' or whatever following their mates being locked up.

When I had the third break in (the failed one) people spent a lot of time trying to explain the why's and wherefors of it. To me, it was just some little twat trying to take what was mine, he would have had no excuse if I'd had any chance of doing anything about it.

All that aside I'm once again sorry to hear it mate and I hope you guys begin to have some better luck. I'm sure right now you'll be thinking about a lot of fairly big changes. All I can say is that if you need something from me, just let me know.

That's a real bad spate of luck.

One thing is that the thieving scum are still empty handed, so in that point you are still one over them.

And you have a good neighbour.

Sounds to me that someone has got an "order" for a TTS and yours fits the bill perfectly. I'd have new keys ordered and new encyption from Audi, as costly as that sounds I'd say their def coming back for your car n they sound determined as I dare say they could have valuable and portable items from ur house n they havnt such as jewellery, cameras n other technology.

The raising bar in the driveway is a good idea so they can't leave with the car but I'd be more worried they came into the house again to source the key to unlock the bar.

It's a horrible situation ur in buddy n the very same thing happened at my parents 2 years ago except they got the cars in the first break in n done the off with 3 cars. It's more horrible that people have been in ur house :s I learned best to leave keys downstairs but not in plain site if looking through a window obv as if they break in again u dont want them venturing upstairs to ur family for them.

It's pretty clear this is no coincidence and your car is a target for some reason. The fact that all they took are the keys would suggest to me that they know exactly where it is being repaired and also know they won't be able to get the keys at the body shop.

The whole thing is just too fishy and it sounds like they know what they are doing. If it was a case of just getting back at you they would have wrecked the place, slashed all your clothes, taken a dump on the carpet etc.

I would hazard a guess that they will go for the car in the next 48 hours. Police will only routinely check the body shop for so long and they'll know that.

It's an utterly shit time you're having and I feel for you but I suppose the up side is that none of your family have been hurt. Try to stay cool and don't get any Charles Bronson vigilante ideas.

You have my heart felt comiserations, i had the exact same thing happen a few years ago, and I actually mooved house onto a gated community, expensive but well worth the peace of mind, even the kids agreed to the moove eventhough it meant they were not so close to friends.
It is all about family and peace of mind.
Keep in there and don't let the scum bags drag you down to their level.

had a similar thing happen to the keys of my A3, I hid it in a garage with a steering lock until Audi changed the key code, then whenever i parked it somewhere it was either steering locked or blocked in with the wheels fully turned (to prevent it towing) as although the spare key wouldn't start the car it would unlock it - until i had the locks and keys all changed ofcourse.

Have a word with the insurance co. too, mine told me that unless i replaced the keys and barrels they would take a very dim view of the car being stolen or broken into i.e. they may not pay out.

Geez, that sucks big time!

Like others have said, the car is on a wanted list and they see yours as a easy target.

I'd be looking at increased security, spend a couple of £££ on pop up bollards on the drive, something along these lines:

http://www.atgaccess.com/Bollards/Manual-and-Fixed.aspx

or anything that will make them fuck off elsewhere.

I hope things get better for you Gav, and perhaps this being the third strike will be the last.

Thats rough - but if its any consolation it just sounds like they want THAT particular car, and its not personal.

Sell it before it is stolen, and get something else, less prone to theft.

TTS are maybe popular to theives for a reason (demand/easy to ring/change locks/export etc.).

Think of it as the best excuse ever to trade up - its an opportunity!

Good luck.

not much that can be added that others have not said.

Sounds like they are really after the TTS. Time for extra security, or to move it on I guess.

put some trap in your TT . set up a Gas unit to gas them out and doors lock automatically...then hand them to the police =]

or you can add some electrical fence haha

they will probably try to nick the car when the cars have been repaired and parked in the audi car park!!

good luck with everything, it was a real nightmare when the thieves stole our P1 a long time ago!

As mentioned, your car Is definitely on a wanted list and as the people who will be trying to steal it will only get paid once they have it, they will A) get increasingly desperate to get your car.
B) continue to try until they have it or another one that fits the bill.
Don't listen to any Johnny big bollocks stories about fighting, big dogs-all shit these people,if they want your car, they will kick your door in at 6 in the morning, stab your dog and threaten your loved ones until you give them what they need.
Within 48 hours it could be on a freight transporter to another country.
Either get rid of the car or make sure that your house is well secured to thwart any attack ie good external (composite upvc) doors and frames, alarm with CCTV or proximity sensors, plenty of light et al...
Make sure you are aware of who is behind you when you're driving and if in doubt, don't stop-drive straight to a local police station...
I really hope nothing happens but be prepared if it does.
Best of luck
