clutch chattering after launching

I just got a jb4 and my clutch is always working perfectly. I tried a soft launch and when I double clutched into second @ around 6k rpm, I wasn't able to shift smooth into gear (I couldn't get it in gear at all). For a couple seconds, my clutch pedal just went soft and sorta fell. After 3-5seconds of being in neutral I shifted back into second and drove on and stopped. When I tried driving the car again, first gear would chatter and feel like it couldn't hold unless I rev it a bit higher. All the other gears seems fine and holds power ok. I drove easy though afraid of damaging my clutch some more. Is my 1st gear/flywheel/clutch sorta gone? Anyone experience this before? Really scared right now QQ

Update.

On my drive home I stopped at light and again, I can't even shift into gear on a stand still.
It seemed like the clutch is stuck and cannot be released as i step on the clutch pedal. After a couple pumps, i can finally shift it in and drove away. I am now home, should I tow it to the shop and have it checked out? What could possibly be wrong. Thanks guys. I am preparing for the worst.
