Looking for DIY install directions for BMW Navigation Pro kit
Posted this in Audio/Video technical forum as well... apologies for the repetition here, but thought it may cover a broader DIY crowd.
I just ordered the BMW Navigation Pro install kit for a Garmin 760. Anyone have a DIY install guide? I have the instructions from the dealer with drawings that are quite hard to follow. if someone has done this and has better instructions and/or photos it would be greatly appreciated. The kit I'm referring to is: 65 90 0 445 990 |

Is this the DIY you have? BTW It looks like you need to drill it into your dash to put it in

No, different kit
No, not those instructions. I have the "pro" kit which is the newer one. The instructions for this one are attached.
It only required drilling under the trim. |

lmao holy shit! If you want to get that kit, then get it done professionally. If you change your mind you can always get the suction cup.

To OP, I thought the nuvi.PDF IS the DIY instruction, no? Even though it was meant for dealer installation I see no reason why you can't use it for DIY. I am thinking about doing the same thing as well. Tim |

I'm getting ready to order the kit from Tischer and will provide a step-by-step DYI when done. (Might be a few weeks to wait for a break in the weather).
I currently use a Nuvi 765t with the Kuda dash mount, but I am not satisfied with the wire hiding capabilities - so I'll pass the 765 to my wife, replacing her ancient 350 and get myself the new fancy unit in the BMW Pro kit.
