Oil change and warranty question

My '08 has under 500 miles on her and she was built on 7/08.The oil and filter is a year old and I want to change it.
My question is with the free maintenace thing, can I use a Mann or Napa Gold oil filter without any warranty issues?
I am using BMW 5w30 oil.

Thanks,JK.
I already bought BMW 5w30 and will let the dealer do the changes and they'll use 5w30.
I only do around 5K miles a year and I'll have do the free yearly change.

MANN make the OEM filters anyway (they just add the BMW logo on them)
So with MANN filters at least you know your getting OEM parts

Also BMW dealers will give you one free oil change a year regardless of mileage,
I only did 1000 miles in a year in a previous BMW and I still had it changed,

So if you bought your car this time last year take it in for a free one,
Or if your a month or two away, I'd still wait and take it in and save your unused oil for next time,

I don't have the car a year,though.Only a few weeks.
I bought a new '08.

I played it safe and just picked up a BMW filter from the dealer.
Funny thing is at $12.12 with tax the BMW filter was cheaper than the $14 and change Napa Gold or $16 and change Mann at Napa auto parts.

In my little world the only way to beat the dealer's prices is via the Internet. And if you join the BMW CCA you get a further discount at the dealer.

In most cases maybe but...
The dealer did have the BMW spare kit for $299.
I just paid $275 + $50 shipping from Tischer and haven't received it yet.
So with sales tax,the cost would have been just about the same at $4 cheaper at the dealer.
I joined and just got the BMWCCA card and forgot to present it.

FYI...Not all dealerships give discounts for BMWCCA members.
