I think it looks cleaner, but if you debadge, people will assume it's a 318...

the boot lid will look cleaner and it will IMO enhance the top edge of the lid.
yes people may say "where's your badge, you're missing your badge".
Personally I've never found it easy to make out the numbers on most BMWs from a distance anyway, the lettering style all runs together, the 5's look too much like 3's and the chrome surfaces have too much glare.

I was kind of proud of the badge on my 320cd.

I just like to be honest about what's under the bonnet.

Debadge - I'd debadge a 335. I prefer the look of it . It's easier to wax aswell!!!! Who cares what other people think you have under the bonnet?

Depends. Better than re-badging for sure...unless you are rebadging a 335d as a 320d...then that is class

I debadged my 335d as it looks cleaner and is easier to clean/polish/wax etc. but sometimes I miss it as I'd like to wear it with pride as NFS suggests.

The worst thing IMHO and probably worthy of being shot for is to up-badge your car e.g. put an M badge on anything that isn't or put a 335d badge on a 320d.

I quite fancy de-bandging, not cause I care about the 320/325/335 stuff just cause it looks nicer. Don't really care what other people think it is.

Anyone in the know will know what it is anyway, BMW give lots of clues in terms of exhuast, trim, alloys etc

de-bandging? Is that a Carlosism? Perhaps you meant debanjoing which I believe must refer to the hobby of removing banjos from people playing them - I very admirable passtime

So tell me, how would you tell a 325 from a 330 in this respect?

There's a website, I forget the link.... you know, the one where you have to state that you are the owner of the car and where it says that illegal use will be punishable by having your eyebrows shaved off.

simple car check, anyone can do it for anycar

thought it seemed a bit iffy altho it was a full replica, had gay numberplate tho

F848ROY car was a 1996 523, altho the M5 didnt come out till 1999, hence the plate to also hide that fact, if it had its original registration i would have know right away it was a fake just by knowing when bmw brought out what etc..

That is a Carlos classic. I nearly fell of my chair! V funny post, but I suspect it was totally unintentional on Carlos' part
