Can anyone help me with cold/flu?

Since a lot of you are parents do you guys know what I can take for a cold/flu? Right now I dont know what to take!! I'm 17 years old.. yeah I know I could take care of myself, I tried medicines that I used to take before but they're not healing me at all!. I took nyquil and dayquil and I still feel the same. I have crazy bodyache, coughs, and swollen/sore throat. hehe this might be off topic. If you guys can help me out thanks alot! Im all alone since all my family left for vacations =T

how about going to see a doctor? if your usual medicine doesn't do anything, i see that a the only reasonable solution, other than just waiting it out.

All you really do is sleep and rest and let your body fight the virus. Take some painkillers to alleviate the pain (ibuprofen or acetominophen, but not aspirin) and some sudafed to clear your sinuses. Chicken soup may actually even help you relieve your congestion. Also drink plenty of fluids!

Thanks Yowsa. But the thing is I cant have that much sleep/rest

I work from 8a.m-8p.m I get home around 8:30p.m And I get home and eat and then wake up again at 7am.

I just got through the same thing. I had a sinus infection. A sinus infection can cause a headache or pressure in the eyes, nose, cheek area, or on one side of the head. A person with a sinus infection may also have a cough, a fever, and nasal congestion with thick nasal secretions. If you think you may have a sinus infection, use a humidifier and hold a towel over your head, and then breath in the steam through your nose. You want to drain as much as that junk out of your sinuses as possible. That worst thing you can do is take a lot of Flu/Cold medicine because it just keeps everything inside and prolongs your illness.

I dont really know if a sinus infection. I just feel so tired and wanna keep sleeping. It feels like my body is too heavy specially my head. And I get dizzy.

every 4 hrs take cold ezze...or however you spell it....it's a candy that help you get rid of your cold a lot faster.

The thing is. I dont have a doctor! I never felt this sick! =T Argh! When I cough blood comes out of my throat! Im so f**ked up!

Go to the doctor! Just google a local doctor, call to make an appointment and go! Blood is not good.

if you can get your primary doctor to fill you a antibiotics, that would be great, but you have to finish the whole series.
alots of fluids, rest, chicken noodle soup and orange juice!

I hate being sick. I can't even stand a mild cold, because I can't do anything. Anyway, go to the doctor if you don't get some relief from ibuprofen.

Coughing up blood is really NOT good!!!! I would call a doctor right now. He/She may just tell you to the emergency room (quite serious about this one).
