Fuel Filter Replacement

Anyone replace their fuel filter on the N54? I know that the regulator and filter are replaced together as one unit and are a "lifetime product."

I just replaced my LPFP last week due to the JB4 logs showing the LPFP reading in the 30-40 psi range. After replacing the LPFP, my pressure increased, but only to the high 40-mid 50 psi range. It should be in the upper 60s to low 70 psi range. Therefore, I figured I would replace the next item on the list.

Anyone have any experience replacing the fuel filter/regulator assembly? Any more difficult than the LPFP? Any diy tips to look out for etc.? Thanks!

Did you replace your fuel pump with the e85 walbro? When you buy a replacement stock fuel pump it comes in a complete assembly. The bucket, lid fuel filter, lines ect... Just like this kit.

http://www.amazon.com/Airtex-E8688M-...+pump+assembly

I'm not aware of any other fuel filter? There is a bucket behind the drivers seat but im not sure what that is. Is that what you talking about?

I replaced the passenger side pump with an OEM pump kit which includes the basket, pump etc. Now I am thinking of replacing the driver side fuel components, which consists of the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel filter. This is one whole unit as well.

Ohh... So thats whats on the other side of the fuel tank lol. I thought the only fuel filter on the car was in the bucket.

Found this nice image that would be helpful to anyone that might wonder how the fuel system is. I was always wondering how everything looked. Its a nice diagram.

Well I ordered the regulator/filter from ECS. I will let you know how it goes and if this fixes my low fuel pressure issues. If not, I do not know what else to replace.
