My E93 320i M Sport with Pics

Hi

After weeks of waiting my 320i M Sport Convertible has arrived

Here are some Pics

First Impressions;

Its Fantastic, its only a 320i auto, but its got get up and go. The engine is quiet whilst driving, just as good as my old 6Cyl E46 320i convertible, but does sound like a diesel when at tickover. The auto is great - very responsive.

Why is there no sound deadening under the bonnet?

The ride is firmer than my old SE on Non Runflats but not by much and they do tend to soften up a bit over the first few weeks. I am very glad I did not go for the 19" 225's, I think that would be too firm for me on Isle of Wight roads!!

The colour, Le Mans Blue, is spectacular, all the photos I have seen do not do it justice. The same can be said for the roof when closed - the car looks much better in real life than any photos.

I was not sure about ShadowLine that is standard with M Sports, but again in reality it looks great.

The Cream Beige and Burr Walnut compliment the Le Mans Blue perfectly IMHO, its a bit lighter in colour than the brochure and Light Beige on my old vert, but the leather is better quality - it was very thin on my E46.

The sun has been out all day since I collected it from Barons of Hindhead, so I have not driven it at all with the top up yet.

MPG is 33ish so far according to the OBC, Not bad for an auto, but I am hoping this will rise as the engine loosens.

The USB option is a must and WMA's sound good through the standard audio, will take a little getting used to navigating around a 4Gb Flash Drive, but reading the manual may help

All in all I am well Chuffed

Congrats, I like the colour combo. By the way it's not just a 320 it's an e93 and that puts it at the top of the 3 tree

Beautiful, and I think that is my favourite colour/interior combo, although the Jade Grey is also nice.

Very very nice,i saw one in this colour at the stealers a couple of weeks back
your right Alan photos do not do it justice
I am not a convertable man but if they did the 335d engine i'd have one straight away because they look great with the roof up as well, very purposefull. Well done that man

That body kit is essential to the front of the e92/e93. Looks great!

Alan, Your car looks awesome, and I am so jealous!!!

I will hopefully get my 320i E93 in about 3 weeks!!! I have also gone for M Sport but with sapphire Black and Coral Red.

Your car looks fantastic. I have opted for the 19in, however I do like a stiff ride.

Enjoy!!!!

Thanks Keith

I am certainly extremely pleased with it, seems to be engineered fantastically, the roof is a masterpiece:rocks:

Hope the weather stays like this for the Fesival, don't want The Stones' grecian 2000 running

Speak to you later

Alan

Some interior shots - not too good I'm afraid it was too sunny

Its Cream Beige with Burr Walnut with the M Sport Steering Wheel and sports seats - Autos' don't seem to get a special M sport gear shifter.

We had the Walnut gear shifter fitted to match the interior trim on our Sport. I agree that it's not quite right with the shiny shifter.

Sorry for the poor quality picture (mobile phone and poor light conditions), but here's a quick snap of the soundproofing under the bonnet of my E92 335d. It feels like a fairly thin piece of stuff, but I suppose it must do something, otherwise BMW wouldn't have put it there. It's held in place with a few large-headed bolts and seems to be tucked into the metalwork in a few places.

Thanks for the picture, I wonder why they have not put the sound insulation on the 320i's. Ken M Sport's has none either.

It does look very thin and can't do much, my old e46 had a really thick carpet like sound insulation

Lovely combo - I'm thinking about getting my E90 320d M Sport in Le Mans and your pics have helped sway me from my other choice (SG)!

Enjoy
