There is two bars you pull on top and bottom side ways to open the ECU box and TWO levels you pull up on sides to take the cover off.

The longer level on the right has small holes in the level place. They stuck wires in those small holes and made a loop to hold it shut and barley noticed to see it.

Screw them...since your out of warranty what the hell do you care at this point! Just bring it to another dealer for repair work.

He didn't say out of warranty. He just said his cars paid off. I'm assuming since hes taking the tune out hes still under warranty.

They can make all the assumptions they want but they need evidence if they are going to accuse you of DME tampering. Just be like hey I noticed when I cleaned out my cabin filter that there is a wire there taht I havent seen before. They'll know whats up

Interesting...

My dealer puts a line across the ECU connectors with a paint pen, so if the paint line is broken, they'll have evidence.

The problem is that they assume we are either won't notice it, or won't be able to drive to Fastenal and buy the identical paint pen to re-do it.
