Use poorboys blackhole glaze followed by a good wax (I like Collinite 915... )

Don't mean to hijack, but along the same lines, what do you guys recommend for removing minor scratches on a black car? Meguiars Scratch X?

A machine polisher and a decent medium cut polish followed by re-applying any glaze/wax you have now. Elbow grease and off the shelf products are only ever good for the lightest lightest of scratches.. If at all.

if you want to spend a bit more and put some more effort in (without a full machine polish) then autofinesse rejuvenate, followed by poorboys blackhole, and then a good wax (colli as suggested) or a liquid sealant (again toughcoat or similar). i would also suggest getting some clay involved before any of this process. dont waste your money on turtlewax stuff (or most Halfrauds kit) just buy some quality products - they will last longer and the final finish will be superior. but as Mega suggests, if you want rid of scratches and imperfections (as opposed to just masking/covering them) you'll be looking at a machine polish. |

Blackhole is undoubtedly a good glaze, easy to use and smells great.
I find Autofinesse products to be superior to Poorboys IMHO. Chemical Guys glazes are also very good and again IMO tip the edge compared to BH. A good sealant AF tough coat, CG blacklight and then a nice wax on top. mine has raceglaze 55 on it at the moment which I rate. Also have so naviwax ultimate to try.... After the each wash I top up with Zaino Z8 which is a gloss spray sealant. It gives a brilliant finish and is probably one on the most rated detailing products. Expensive but lasts for ages. |
