Mountain pass cruise this weekend?

Ok, here's the deal. I have 2 weeks left on my warranty. I believe I have the bad camshaft ledge issue ($2,000 fix). They are replacing both vanos solenoids but my gut is telling me it's not just that based on my build date and the limp modes I've gotten.

My plan is to try and recreate the CEL buy driving up some mountain passes pretty hard and cruising down the other side (the original CEL occurred this weekend over Monarch pass). I might drive Berthoud pass hard a few times and maybe some other fun passes.

Any interest??

Or I could just get an extended warranty or trade my almost new car in for a 2009/2010 lol.

Just went on a Mountain drive last weekend (Loveland Pass to Hoosier Pass to Independence Pass and back over Vail Pass on I-70) so probably not, plus I have something else going on on Saturday.

Good luck with the Vanos issue, hopefully the Solenoids take care of it. If not, the dealer will still probably repair the ledges under warranty if it comes to that since the problem occurred before warranty was up.
