maybe a simple comparison for the lay person on here.
if under warranty, is there a better choice?
Hi,
I think most of those questions are answered in the FAQ. Think of it like a bigger badder Cobb AP. 400% larger screen (and touchscreen), more storage space, unencrypted so you actually have access to the entire ROM file (not not just what Cobb wants you to see). INPA commands such as individual adaptation resets, TMPS reset, airbag reset, etc,.) It only holds 3 maps so far and is only able to display multichannel data (not log it to .csv yet). But those two limitations will be address soon.

One could also argue that it's the most "transparent" flash option since it modifies your existing ROM and, unlike Cobb, doesn't change your sw/hw identification. Nor does it block the ROM read/write process which would always be a dead giveaway at the dealership if the DME wasn't flashed back to stock.

my 2c,
shiv

Shiv,

How many maps will be released at launch? So far, I've only read of Stage 0 and 1. I'm assuming that Stage 0 is meant for stock cars and Stage 1 covers everything else?

Yes those two maps will be released first. They will be available on Monday on our website. I've already started working on more aggressive maps but I'll do more localized testing before they launch. But I think everyone will be happy with stg0 or stg1 for the time being. Of course, those who are familiar with tuning the MSD80/81 don't need to wait for me to modify these maps for more boost/power.

Shiv I pm'ed you about this never heard back, will your stg 0 and 1 tunes be preloaded onto the device or will they have to be pulled from your site and installed on Monday?

Sorry... getting buries alive with PMs this week. That info is in the FAQ. Maps do not come preloaded on the tablet itself. This is because the tuned map is created from your original ROM that the tablet reads when you first install it. You save your original ROM to you laptop, open it up in the tuning software, select what map you want to run and then transfer the tuned data over to your original file. There is a one-click function that does the data transfer. Very stating forward. Instructions will be included with tablet.

Cheers
Shiv

Seems like the tune comparison sticky needs to be updated: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showth...374508&page=15

Through the many unlocked tables, is raising the idle rpm one of the options?

No idle maps yet. But that is on my priority list. Specifically, to add INPA's idle speed adjust feature.

Shiv, you mentioned TPMS reset. Will we be able to disable the TPMS warning? If not you keep that in mind for the future?

Right now, the TPMS system can only be reset/cleared, not disabled completely. Yet.

Yes, the GKE215 MCM controller within the transmission is separate from the MSD80/81 that manages the engine.

Well, I was the first in North America to flash my car and I think I can speak for 99% of the people who have flashed.... YES

If you order the $35 K+DCAN INPA cable from EBAY, I can help you setup the software and flash/code your car.
