so anything less than -5 is not too bad...

I'll take your -6.50 and - 7.0 and raise you to a -8.0 and -7.5.

Dont spend a fortune at the high street optician. Go online and buy proper prescription glasses at much cheaper prices.
There are loads of sites but Ive used http://www.glassesdirect.co.uk/ and found them very quick and also very good quality.

I've had to wear glasses since I was 5 and have contacts for weekend wear. My eyes are a piss poor +7.5 and +6.5 with toric for astigmatism and I spend on average £700pa on glasses and contact lenses!

I'd love to be able to wake up and see immediately, but my prescription is too strong for laser treatment. In that context, a pair of glasses for reading would be a luxury to me!

Ali just had to get some low powered reading glasses and she opted for 2 prescription pairs, one for work and one for social e.g reading menus in restaurants. Cost a bit, but:

1. they look better
2. they fit better
3. the lenses are better quality

Hi Gav,

£700 p.a.! No consolation but you'd never guess by looking at you.

Btw, need to drop you a PM sometime, got some info. re. the TT, nothing bad lol.
