tire sensor ?

i have no idea how this thing even works... and do you need to use the ugly valve cap stems the car came w/ in order for them to work?

then when you buy after market rims u have to install them once again?

i should def read the book a lil more, i'm just too busy, lol

thanx for any help

I belive the newer style is in the valve stems,

you should be able to put whatever caps you want on them though

E92s have a sensor mounted to the inside of the rim AS WELL AS a special valve stem. E90s do not use a sensor that is contain in the rim. You will need to use the TPMS specific valve stem if you buy aftermarket wheels if you do not want the warning light on the dash to be on constantly. But I elieve that the actua valve stem cap can be changed to one that looks nicer.

March '07 and newer build 335 E90s now have the TPMS sensor in the tire as well.
I believe Tirerack sells these. Look for a post by the Tirerack moderator.

You will need to either move them from your current wheels or buy another set from somewhere.

yeah, you'll get a warning buzzer and a light comes on in the cluster in either yellow or red depending on how bad the issue is
