Where to get mechatronic sleeve??

I have recently discovered an oil leak on the auto gearbox in my n54 335i. I am led to believe it is from the mechatronic sleeve. I will replace the bottom sump and gasket whilst performing this work. However, does anyone know somewhere in the uk these parts can be bought apart from bmw??

Any help would be greatly appreciated. And I will hopefulky put up a diy for the mechatronic sleeve change when I get time to do it

Contact ZF in Nottingham (UK headquarters)
They can put you in touch with your local parts dealer. They do not sell to the public directly though

Did you get anywhere with this? I've got the same problem.

Also, what oil is recommended for the gearbox and how much is needed for a refill please? I've seen Shell M1375.4 specified but there must be other oils which meet the spec.

Havent got anywhere with it yet but plan on sorting it out soon. Its not my daily car so havent been in too much of a rush to get it done....plus when I get under the car to sort this out I would very much like to have some downpipes to fit and an intercooler all at the same time :-P. I will update the post with my findings and sny hints and tips that I come across along the way.

Well I found a kit which includes the sump, oil and mechatronic sleeve. I believe this is the correct part, but can anyone confirm? I believe the 335i has a ZF 6HP21 transmission.

I have been putting this on hold as have not been using the car but I have ordered the kit above (but with new sump plug etc - which is a kit ~£40 more expensive). It is all genuine ZF components and ZF oil.

Once it comes I will update to let everyone know whether its the correct parts :-)

Fingers crossed for £270 correctly spent :-P

I've noticed the £270 kit includes rivets. What exactly are the rivets used for?

Mine gearbox leak's been sorted now at a dealer (as I had a faulty lambda sensor as well and just got them to do the lot).
