Wow not good at all. Glad she is ok though (relatively) - must have been a shock. Hope she recovers speedily.

As Tony says, not good. I hope that she recovers quickly and that you feel better soon, it doesn't half shake you up.

Falls in the elderly are pretty common, so much so that my sister had to write a bunch of essays about them in Uni (that I had to spend hours proof reading).

Hope your mum gets well soon Steve. It's a bit of a shock when you realise that your parents aren't invincible; you get used to them being the ones with the remedies and the answers to life's little problems. It's tough when the roles are reversed. All the best.

Bad luck Steve.

Sounds as if it could have been a whole lot worse. I hope your Mum isn't too badly hurt.

Now that I have kids I realise how much hard work my Mum put in looking after me. So now she's older it's only fair to pay her back.

Your mum must be pretty tough Steve.

Well, the answer to that would be you can only have one mum, but you can have...... - the ramifications for what you add on to the end of that I won't even begin to think about...!!!

Very sorry to hear that Steve - but at least she did not break anything as it can take so long for the elderly to recover from a breakage.
Hope she is up and about soon.

Sorry to hear about this Steve, hope your Mum makes a full and speedy recovery. Unfortunately as we become older, we realise our parents are not immortal but thankfully your Mum is still here and will no doubt fight on. We're quite tough us women you know.

Steve sorry to hear your mum fell, but I'm glad to hear that she was lucky and it could have been much worse.

As for your wife's comment, hmm women, we really can't win can we? If you hadn't paid enough attention you would have been a bad son for not loving your mum enough

Steve,

Sorry to hear about your mom's fall, but at the same time she is so very lucky to have not broken anything at all. Such falls invariably result in a broken wirst at best and a broken hip and/or neck at worst. She is truly lucky and blessed.

Please wish her a very speedy recovery on my behalf, and if there is anything that you think I can help with, do not hesitate to ask.

BTW, I am an Orthopaedic Surgeon, so broken bones, sprains etc are what I deal with for a living

Best wishes

THR Doc

Sorry to hear about your mum, Steve.

Hope she's soon back on form & keeping your wife company, whilst your talking to your 'colleagues'.
