Question Lug Nut Question

So I broke off one of my nuts this weekend lol. and part of it is stuck in the hub. I set my tq wrench to 90 it did click and I usually go just a little bit more but after it just got soft then bam.

Whats the size of the lug nuts? How is the length measured? Overall or thread length? I checked online and I have seen 35-45mm or 70 mm.

How much do you think it will cost to remove it, they will need to drill it out. I called 2 places here in Waterloo and so far they said they will need to check it. I didn't call BMW or CT.

Hey,

That happened to me once with my old beautiful 325XI and I brought her to a local indy shop and if I remember correctly I was charged $20 to get it out. I don't remember how they did it but the good thing is that only the lug was dommage and nothing else. So hopefully it will be the same for you.

Good luck and keep us posted,

.
Interestingly I was looking up a similar topic this weekend as well, though my search was the wheel lock key.

I believe the BMW part number for the lug nuts is 36136781150.

Another shop I called said they will need to check but it might cost about $80! Depending if the rotors will need to be removed. The place also sells 1 nut for $8! I wonder if I asked for 1 nut at the dealer if they will give me 1 for free lol.

Thanks for the part #!
