Seen this. A day late and a dollar short. Ive wanted a smaller diesel truck for sometime but they never came. I've had 3 f250s but always end up getting rid of them, they are just to large for my needs. Maybe I'll be ready for a new car by the time these evershow up, that is IF they ever show up.

Makes perfect sense, but for now they should just buy a diesel engine from another manufacturer until they had their own -- like when MB was putting Peugeot diesels in their cars.

All the Power Strokes were Navistar designed except for the new 6.7L which is an in-house Ford design and Ford built.
Chevy is going to offer the re-released Colorado with 4cyl diesel in 2016. 190ish HP and 370ish TQ. Dodge has their EcoDiesel in their 1500 RAM and Nissan is going to offer a 5.0L V8 Cummins in their Titan half ton truck in about a year.

Anyways back to topic, I read that the 1500 diesel is selling very well. It also is motor trends truck of the year. I had a Dodge once and def prefer a Ford. I think a strong motor in the ford would be best, but I would hope they put one in there that will best the Eco boost motor. |
