Unhappy Super glue meets leather

Not sure how, or when...but I found about an m&m sized drop of super glue on my drivers seat. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to remove this without causing any further damage? As far as the material, all I know is it is pretty generic BMW gray leather (sports pkg).

Thanks.

I ran a search on Google and no luck. All of the products people mentioned are terrible for leather products (acetone, Goof Off, etc). From the reviews it will ruin the color and may not even work.

Subscribed because I am curious as well.

That's a tough one. Acetone is probably the most common solution for removing super glue but there's a good chance it will ruin the leather too. You might want to try nitromethane - it's less caustic than acetone so there is a better chance of you removing at least most of the glue with less damage to the leather. I haven't tried it personally though.

Always test in the most inconspicuous spot you can find. You never know what side effects harsh chemicals will have on dyed leather (it's usually not good).

This may sound far fetched but can u freeze it? If you take a can of compressed air and invert it, it comes out as a freeze spray, maybe test on a scrap piece from a local shop. Good luck
