Great turnout thus far. Glad to have my car back...wasn't excited about sporting the loaner.

Maybe the zombie apocalypse will come on 12/21 and my license plate will finally be relevant.

Yea, can't wait for the next one! Hopefully I'll have my down pipe on my car in time for the next one...and the annoying knocking noise will be cured.

I'm telling you. You're under warranty. Just drive the car until whatever is starting to break actually breaks. Them telling you they're going to tear apart your motor for what is OBVIOUSLY an impending Vanos failure is totally ridiculous. Just wait til you get the P2A... code and then take her in. It's coming soon, I promise.

Oh, and on an on-topic note, will the next meet be at the same location? It was nice to have something indoors. I imagine it will be even nicer at the end of Dec when it's not 70F outside.

On-topic: Yes, I'm not a "cold" type of person so indoors is a plus. Not to mention the shop set up there was nice. There are probably 4 M3's at my apartment complex so I'll try to get some type of flyer or something to put under their wiper blades before the next meet.

Off-Topic: Per your recommendation I called Bimmer Motor Werks and spoke with Freddy. He told me to bring the car in tomorrow and he'd take a look at it for me. He said if it was the VANOS he'd write up something for me to take to the dealer. I'd really like to just drop it off with BMW of Dallas and have them swap out the VANOS without me having to remove the JB4 or the Charge Pipe. I have everything all clean and zip tied and tucked away...really hate undoing my work for an issue that, from what I've seen on the forums, is a defect in the way BMW designed the VANOS system.

I had to leave early to get some tuning done

not sure if they cruised after, but I'll plan a cruise after the meet for whoever is interested.
