Any way to get angel eyes to come on with remote lock/unlock button?

On my E46 BMW I had Orion angel eyes. I had it set-up where the angel eyes would dim down and shut off with the interior lights when I hit the door lock button. Same with unlock, the lights would quickly/progressively ramp up to full brightness when I unlocked the doors. I loved that feature. Loved the way it looked when walking up to the car.

I searched but gave up. Anyone know if this is possible with 2007 E92?

You need to have a make year of 03/07 because that would make you have the new footwell module frm2. If not you will need to buy one from eBay and pair it to the car. Then you may code the welcome lights. I've done it myself. Not a very hard task to do

I've got a 1/07 build. I just bought the car a few days ago. The previous owner installed upgraded angel eyes of some sort there's a module strapped down right by the headlight. I wonder if the previous owner already installed FRM2. Would you have to upgrade your FRM to hook-up that type of angel eye kit? How can I tell if my footwell module is an FRM2?

Thanks for the quick answers you guys

Footwell module is driver side where the hood release carpet area is. The module by the headlights is probably a HID ballast.

Thanks you guys. I'll go take a look to see if it's FRM1 or FRM2. I also found this after searching around. Seems like this is what I'll have to do to get this feature. http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1611769

Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!
