What springs would you pair with TC Kline
Hey guys
So finishing off all my suspension mods and I just picked up a set of TC Kline double adjustable shocks and struts. The full set up is as follows Hotchkis front and rear sway bars Hotchkis x brace All M3 bits front and rears and sub frame M3 strut bar Rougue engineering rear bits TC Kline double adjust shocks and struts. So I talked to Halrold and he asked me what I'm looking to get out of the car and I want M3 like handling predictable response a good track setup that I can adjust dampening on easily when on the street. Harold suggested swift 400front and 800 rear What do you guys think. Thanks |

Hey buddy, it's a great starting point and that is what I have. I would like to up the spring rate for the fronts as soon as I get my 285s up front and go around 600/800 but it is all personal preference.

I actually don't have TC Kline shocks, I have V2s, but am running 400/800 and I think the rear is great but the front could use some more stiffness (but this is for a 75% track car, ha). I am in the market for better suspension but don't want to shove over 3500 for motons. Or maybe I will, haha.

So you think 400 for front is a light. I am wondering if with 400/800 and heveur adjustment on the shocks it would feel firmer.

I'm running 400/600 Swifts on my tckline DA's. Considering you have all the m3 components, a 800 rear should be fine. The valving on these koni shocks are incredible, just make sure you pair up the suspension to proper camber plates. You can have the best suspension in the world, but without camber, it'll do absolutely nothing.

If your planning on run an OSG LSD I would go no less 700-800 in the rear 350-400 front..depending on where on this scale you want to be with ride comfort

Yeah they are double adjustable. All the parts should be here by Thursday afternoon I'm thinking of setting up an install for Friday with HP and Harold. Just wanna be certain that I run the right springs. Plus it's a good 4 hour drive to Santa Barbara.

Yeah I can't wait. Harold is recommending 400/800 swift springs.

If you go with higher springs in the front as others have suggested you will adversely affect your wheel rates and motion ratio. I'd stick with what Harold recommends if you're honest with how you intend to use the car.

I don't suggets it, but if he starts hitting track events pretty hard 400 is kind of eh.

I wouldn't know. If it's a strictly track car, you may be right.

I love how people that haven't run coilovers chime in to say what to run and what not to run...
OP: Did you notify Harold of your sway bar choices? Also, do you have an LSD/plan on getting an LSD? Do you plan on running a square or staggered tire? |
