BSW speakers for the E90
how do these speakers sound compared to the stock ones? i plan on upgrading to these soon, but i want some insight on how they sound. is it a big differ? is the bass much louder and the quality of the sound?

This would be my alternative to upgrading the subs and amp..i'm not wanting crazy obnoxious bass but a decent and enjoyable upgrade.

I've not heard them personally, but they seem to be a decent choice if you're going to upgrade without an amp (they're 2-ohm, like the factory speakers).
Amping them will blow them, As an alternative, contact MusicarNorthwest (or check out their web site). With their amped system, it's possible to clearly hear the stereo with the roof & windows open. Definitely a huge improvement over stock in sound quality and available volume. |

They are a marked improvement over the stock speakers. Sound even better amped with an after market amp, but you don't want to send them more than ~50 watts and be careful because they are low ohms, so it is easy to send them power. With stock amps no issues. With aftermarket amp be sure to cross the mids above 150 hz and use the passive crossovers in the doors. BSW sells crossovers in their component set, which is the same drivers as they provide in the stage 1 kit, but with crossovers.
