Red face 330xi transmision issues

i have a 2006 330xi and it sometime shifts hard into 6th gear and other times acts like it doesnt want to go into 6th gear. car is auto and has 121,000miles just changed fluid and filter 2 thousand miles ago to see if it would fix issue. also before you almost come to a complete stop the cae jerks forward then stops please help with any ideas

Have you reset all the adaptations or checked for codes?

Turn the car fully on, but without starting the motor. Push the gas pedal down to the floor, past the shift down point and hold it hard for over 26 seconds and it should reset the adaptations.

Do a transmission software update. OR you can try 325i trans software. Some members found the 330i trans aggressive which is why they downgrade it to 325i software. Turns out the trans shift very smooth

Depends on the transmission, the ZF may be smoother, but the GM is smoother with the 330 tune in my experience.

Like after swapping with 3IM and using the factory 330i tune?

I drove the 330 tune with the 328 GM flash, not great, but the updated GM 330 flash is light years better. Is that what you're asking?

Depends entirely on the year.

So what you were saying is that you have a 330xi with a GM transmission, when you update the trans with 328 GM flash, it wasn't great. So you updated the trans with the updated 330i GM flash, it was smooth?

Do you remember which version was it?

No I have a 328Xi (e91 only came in 328 trim in north america). I installed the 3im (which is the only real difference between the cars other than tunes). I then put the OE 330 tune on the car, then flashed the GM transmission from the 2007 328xi tune to the 330xi tune with the most recent revision. I've done a bunch of other stuff, but that's irrelevant to this discussion.

My car is for all intents and purposes a 330xi now.
