Had V3 and I can tell to everybody that V4 are really brighter and the fact that you can select the K is a big update. I find 5700K way better than V3. I didn't have the chance to check V4 in daylight yet.

I know everyone would love some comparison pictures if you had a chance.

My dad has V3 on his E93. I will ask him if we can do a quick photoshoot. ;-)

why on earth are people comparing V3 and V4 at 1200K? It'd be great to see them at relatively equal color temps...

Facepalm

And Lux I can't agree more with your statements regarding the cheaper LED plug and plays, along with the distance of 20 feet for pictures. The Lux (V3) IMO are twice as bright as the competition and I think very much worth the extra cost. The pictures on the other hand people tend to be far too critical of our own cars. In reality no one is ever looking at our cars from within 15 feet or so. What we think looks bad looks great to the general population (and us if we take a few steps back!!)

I guess iphone 5 pics don't work well for night shots. You should have used the same temperature settings for both v3 and v4 to compare the brightness!

NO camera takes good night shots of the angel eyes really. Even with my DSLR i've found it next to impossible to take good shots just because there is so little ambient light and the angel eyes so so bright. Daytime pics or overcast pictures are always best.

I personally dont own a car i can install these lights on. I need to find someone local and that has been rather difficult in arranging times and schedules.

So at what temp do the hot spots come in from the led's? Is it at all temperature ranges or just the more blue temps? How bad is the flickering on and off?

The hot spots are very tiny and are only visible at certain angles. Most all of the time the light appears to be uniform across the rings.

In our earlier testing models the hot spots were Much more noticeable but we were able to reduce these down to almost nothing.

So as Promised here are my pictures. On the LEFT PIAA H8 Halogen Xtreme White (Rated 4150K).

5000k

5700k

6900k

8800k

12000k

And for now I settled personnaly on 6300k

Personnaly I find the difference between the LUX and the PIAA (or all other H8 LED from china) beeing NIGHT AND DAY. Even in direct sunlight I find the outer ring to be properly lit and the light is really strong. I was expecting a lot less than the result I got from the previous reviews. Also they were the easiest bulb I ever had to install and I changed the angel eye bulb multiple times to find the perfect setup. Overall very happy

Nice picts, looks good!

Even though I swore I wouldn't spend $260 on a bulb upgrade, I broke down and order a set today. Not expecting miracles but I hope they will be noticeably better that the GP Thunders I have now.

No contest, the PIAA's look really yellow and dim, almost doesn't seem worth it to swap out with the stock bulbs. The LUX at 6300k seems to really hit the spot. Good job, with that said, I'm happy with my V3's and will not be doing the upgrade.

The worst part was that the PIAA were not only brighter but also less yellow than the OEM bulb. On this picture they appear more yellow than they are but nothing close to the LUX. Overall I'm really happy about the upgrade and afterall the flickering doesnt bother me THAT much but still would've like to know before purchasing.

Not sure if they are worth it over V3 as I never had those but a very good upgrade for all.

For the reference I tried in angel eyes :
-OEM (shitty)
-PIAA H8 Xtreme White (Best in Halogen)
-The V shaped led bulb (supposed to be 12w total)
-The 20W "CREE" Led bulb (knock-off cree led for sure)
-Lux "Replica" from china

All the LED bulb failed after maximum 3 months (except the 20W one that still work but isnt close at all from LUX ... far from it). Let's just say I won't reorder for me or nobody Led bulb H8 from my Chinese wholesaler anymore)
