How long is fair to wait?
I recently purchased an e90 that didn\'t have a spare key - told the SA I needed the spare ordered ASAP. It\'s been about a month now where the SA thought the service dept would handle it blah blah. My question is - how long should it take the SA to receive the key if they did order it? If anyone had a similar issue I\'d appreciate your feedback in how you got the SA to stop bs\'ing around.

Spare key as in a second fob and key insert? It took my dealership 2 days to receive my replacement. I had checked all 3 dealerships near me and they had all claimed 2 days, so I'm assuming that's the norm.
@beantown - You can get the fob+key insert and programming for less that $300 at Peabody if you're a BMW CCA member. Price will drop slightly if you don't have comfort access. |
