E93 suspension?? Help!
Hey guys,
It's tax season so I have some refund money to burn lol I've been doing some research on forums and just different products with the different vendors and need some final input to finalize the decision. Because I drive a 2008 335i E93 w/ sport suspension on 19" 269M wheels, will the extra weight for example be an issue when using the spring/strut combos? I don't want a coil over kit cuz its too much $$ IMO for my purposes. I had my eye set on Ebachi prokit, but wanted to make sure that I'd get a big enough drop all while still maintaining some comfort to the ride. Will the prokit shocks handle the weight and some spirited driving with pot hole ridden roads (here and there) or should I really be pairing the springs with a Koni yellow sport strut? (believe new ones have been recently released??) Any input would be nice I just need some advise/current customer feelings. Please keep in mind: 1. I want a 1.5" drop in front and 1" drop in rear. (small tuck to remove wheel gap) 2. Good for handling, reducing roll, adding grip, and maintaining some of the ride comfort feel. 3. Full kit with everything I need so I'm not screwing around looking for missing pieces. 4. Can handle the weight of the vert. 5. Good for occasional 1/4 mile use. or track use. Any other input is great. Thx! |

if i were you id save and get a set of coilovers.
i purchased a set of KW V2 coils for $1,500 shipped.. with coils you dont have to worry about, not being to low b/c you can adjust the height and dampening. obviously with shock/strut combo if your not satisfied with the drop on it you cand adjust it...which sucks lol..coilvers FTW

I had coilovers on my civic so I know what to expect. So now I just need to figure out the exact drop on the coils and that can be determined. What I'm more concerned with is the dampening and how the car will feel after the drop. I don't want to experience any bottoming out that's all.
