Dinan chip
i heard that installing the dinan chip will not void your warranty since the dealer installs it or something
... is this true?

I heard BMW was ending its Dinan relationship... But I wouldnt waste my money on anything Dinan.. Dinan= over price under performing... Go to the M3 forum and someone actually posted losses in HP with Dinan parts.

that doesn't mean shit... i could install the best procede out and manipulate a dyno to show it lost power... dyno's are bullshit, especially dynojets which are what 90% of people use because they are dirt cheap, comparatively.

All dinan parts and software are included under the BMW factory warranty. Or, another way of saying it is that Dinan will not void your warranty. Dinan is sanctioned under BMW.

Not really. An intercooler only cools the intake air allowing increased intake air density. It won't do anything to cool the engine and oil temp that can cause the car to go into limp mode if there is overheating. You'll need an oil cooler to prevent engine overheating.

Actually, Dinan warranties it products NOT BMW. I don't think that the Dinan mods actually VOID the BMW warranty, but supersede it. Dinan, not BMW would be responsible for any warranty work on parts that they install or issues caused or related to the mods. The rest of the BMW warranty remains intact for anything not related to the Dinan mods. Since BMW dealers install the Dinan products, it might SEEM like BMW is covering any warranty claims. The dealer would submit their claim to Dinan rather than BMW.

If something happens to your car and BMW says its cuz of Dinan, then Dinan covers the problem. Otherwise BMW covers it all. As for the chip from Dinan, it will be out in a month or two. When I dropped off my car at Dinan they said they fixed the overheating problem with a new oil cooler and they are almost done tuneing the chip. They did alot of testing and they upped the boost to as much as they could without harming the engine at all among other things. They said they have seen hp gains in excess of 40hp. I have a 325 so the chip for my car when it comes is $599 and should be out by the start of dec, but im thinking the 335 chip will cost more becuase it does soo much more. Id give the chip for the 335 like one full month to two months. Dinan just bought 3 new 335s just for testing so look for alot of mods coming out. They know the 335 is going to be a huge tuner car so they are taking it seriously. |

Lol. Look on Dinan's own site where they claim their "performance" exhaust gives a total of 6 . . . yes 6 miraculous ponies. Dinan is a joke.

And it's hard to say Dinan parts are crap... because Dinan doesn't make some of them. Lots are rebranded. |

oh my god another one...nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
seriously people do a search....it doesn't void your warranty and bmwna is not stopping it's relationship with dinan at least not any time soon... dinan has a warranty and whatever bmw doesn't cover in repairs it goes to dinan...i have a dinan 540i e34 that i have had for some time...not once have i ever had a problem with parts being warrantied...dinan does a great job with that!!!! they are a pain for delers when it comes to verifying points for dinan badges and stuff like that...still wish there was more power comming from the tune if it really is 40hp that will be a bummer |
