How much did you pay for the new rad?

Looks like a great quality product.

Although it's all aluminum and has slightly more capacity compared to stock, it didn't do anything for me on the track.

Contact CSF Radiators. They've been in the Radiator industry for a very long time. They're just new to the BMW scene.

It doesn't provide "extra" cooling on the track.

Any updates?

Hey Sean, can you tell me how the CSF radiator worked out compared to Mishimoto? Or stock? Hope you had some track time on it.
I'm needing to replace my stocker soon and was looking for one and debating to go upgrade or regular one. I don't track at all but thought it might help with AT trans.

I went to Sonoma Raceway last month and the radiator worked great. Weather was in the low 70's which is "warm" for a Nov in Sonoma and the oil temps were in check. It definitely works better than the Mishimoto radiator which I'm selling.

If you don't track you can get a way with the OEM radiator. If you're going to upgrade, I definitely recommend the CSF Radiator.

Nice race! I used to drag race there at Infiniti Raceway several years ago.
What kind of car is that white car ahead of you? Looks like 370z with big rear wing. You couldn't catch up? Wonder what kind of mods it has.

The blue car you passed looks like the raced out Tercel. j/k
Great clear video.

It was a gutted/raced out S2000 with R-Compound tires. The S2K is about 800 lbs lighter and with a really good driver it's hard to keep up with.

I'll be running R-compounds in 2016 and looking for more weight savings.

It seems you weren't pushing it hard as you should/could. In the straight away he's keeping the comfortable distance, which means he's got some serious power mods like turbo/SC + 800lbs + R compounds.
At the end of video, he's getting further.

What was the oil temp like?
Did you have upgraded oil-cooler with CSF as well as race with Mishimoto?

That was my first time at Sonoma in my Bimmer and I was also running stock boost (JB4 switched itself to Map 4). I definitely dailed it back a little bit cuz the walls at Sonoma are scary. He was also a better driver.

I have a custom oil cooler and ran that with this radiator and the Mishimoto radiator. I ran the Mish radiator at two track events at Laguna and still hit limp mode due to oil temps.

Nice info. Can you do a detailed comparison of the radiator core specs between the two units. Interesting to hear mishimoto doesn't do jack for you. But again, I have nothing good about their product for a while.
