Thumbs down Ugh Cars brand new Gotta wait for parts!

Got my 335is in December, got it home and parked it for the winter. It now has less than 3000 km on it. Last week the convertible top mechanism failed. Couldn't take it to Budds where it was bought, top wouldn't lock down, not safe to travel, that distance. So it went to London. They were told hydro unit, part that failed, was in stock. Nope! Now has to come from Germany 7-10 days. Usually in auto speak that's 2weeks! I'm NOT real happy to say the least! Brand new car, is now undrivable. I have emailed BMW Canada to call me on this. If they don't I'll call them. Not sure they will do anything, but, it's worth a try. Maybe expedite the part? Give me $1000 of swag?

Oh man, I feel your pain. I don't even know how you park it for the winter! I've only had my car away in the shop for one night when my water pump failed and it was painful being separated.
Good luck with that part from Germany!

In Ontario they had a HORRID winter xD therefore most people have no choice but to park their car and drive their AWD or transit =( i visited them during winter and it was like ice hell over there haha. We had it lucky here in vancouver with weather =D

As for the part, US usually have quite a bit of extra in stock, you might be able to call up dealers in the States and have them expedite the part to you. Good luck and hope your car gets fixed soon!

Angry

I drive a Honda truck in winter. The car stays nice and cozy in the garage! The fact it's nice out now and I don't have my car AND it's broke.....that pisses me off!

For a car with less than 3000km I would be pissed as well.
