Fuel Pump?
So last night after meeting up with Arustik, on the ride home the car starts sputtering. I had less than half a tank of gas. I shut the car off in traffic, start it back up, everything was fine. Once I hit boost in 2nd gear, sputtering again. SES light comes on. I barely make it to the gas station to fill up the tank. (I was told that might help when the fuel pump is going bad) Car ran fine after it was filled up, but I dropped it off at the dealer this morning. 2nd time this has happend.
And right before I left, I was asking Dave about his fuel pump if he's had any issues. lol. |

All these stories about 335i owners and fuel pump issues makes me nervous about mine. I'm assuming the '09s had this issue corrected.

I'll bet this is still a problem in 2009, but I could be mistaken.....

they changed the fuel sensor prob... They did that for me. No new fuel pump for me *knock on wood*.
However sometimes if I gone it hard it will misfire and than go to limp mode. If I stop the car and turn it off and back on its back to normal. But im very sure thats overboost and it cuts because of tuning and esp when its been very cold lately.

It was the fuel pump. Took them 2.5 hours to do it. They did an oil change too. Just got it back. I picked it up and the service guy is like
"Oh the fuel pump guy! Looks like you can drive fast again!!" |

Not sure if I can do Sunday, but I'll let you know. Where would you do it?? Outside or in a garage? I think it might be crappy out, possibly more snow on Sunday. Let me know man.
