Yeah the fact it went away then came back is weird. One more thing, get a decent torque wrench and re TQ by hand lugs all around, car on the ground.
Did that 2 or three times. I now have the aluminum rings in.

Plastic or aluminum still get the vibes.

Sometimes if I brake hard the vibes stop. On moderate acceleration I have vibes but they are most noticeable between 15-20 mph and 55mph but they get worse at 70.

Steering wheel moves back and forth jittery now.

Could it be the front axles?

It's weird because I hit a massive pothole and went and got a new wheel. Then after the regular balance and new wheel vibes went away. Then I hit a few regular bumps here and there vibes come back. Then I get road force balanced, vibes are mostly gone. Then a few hours or days of driving and hit a few bumps here or there accelerate hard here and there vibes are back.

I wish I had not reset my adaptions now. Trans shifts amazing now but I am getting surging between 1800-2200 rpms in 5-6 gear when cruising at light throttle. This never ends for me.

Dude your car is haunted, seriously.

These other factors now sound like something is bent or knocked loose in the front axles or steering. It is too bad you can't find a set of OEM wheels & tires to slap on to completely eliminate them from the equation.

Tranny hard to say what is going on without more info.

The massive pothole I hit I don't blame on today's vibes as it was vibrating the exact same before. It just bent the wheel and had it replaced.

I remember there was some slight vibes there right before the new wheels, I thought it was alignment which is why I got it done.

I changed my diff fluid to redline 75w90 about 3k ago and then drained it again and it was dark brown already. So I filled til it was spewing out of the fill hole. I wonder if it is the fluid?

Now that I think clearly the vibes first appeared after doing my trans pan and diff fluids.

But I thought it was the run flats and changed them out with new wheels.

Also I am thinking that I may have not clocked the front driveshaft to the exact position it was when I did the transmission fluid change. So I just clocked it 90 degrees.

Also how do I install e36 m3 bump stops? Progressive end up and flat facing down or progressive end down?

I've always installed soft nose end down, to contact the shock body first. But I doubt it matters.

I'm guessing you get it good and tight, then after a bit of driving the metal compresses and allows some play, which sends you down the shimmy road again.

Seriously, try a set of wheels that actually fits, I really think you're chasing your tail here

I just realized that I left "Enable all auto clear codes" with jb4

So I took it off and I get ses light and the codes in inpa are German so I used jb4 software.

The picture shows the codes, I don't understand what they are.

Took it to a wheel repair shop and they said both wheels were bent in the same spot. They heated and Straightened the wheel and then road force balanced them. 80% vibrations in the front are gone. Still have slight vibes and some in the butt. Gonna get rears done.

???? Were they like that from new or was that the mofo of all potholes? This explains a lot. Wonder why your previous shops did not catch this.

I don't think a road force machine catches bends. The shop I went to used a radial dial on the wheel.

Road force machine says 9 pounds of road force.

It also says "factory limits exceeded" with a warning sign. What does this mean?

10 pounds of road force on driver front measured "ok" on both sides for weight after balance.

Driver rear measure "ok" as well. I got 20 pounds road force on driver rear and it was a red warning.

just guessing likely the wheels and/or tires are out of round enough they trigger some threshold beyond which machine can't compensate for.

Auto couture checked with their measuring dial and said wheels are the culprit. 3 tires are good and 1 marginal. All wheels are done.

Ordered new wheels with auto couture. Getting avante m359.

Dude these NJ roads were/are terrible. I have vibes as well because my rear left wheel has hub damage from a pothole. Bends were fixed but that is unfixable. I might have to buy a new wheel soon. Driveable but it shakes at certain speeds which is so annoying.
