been waiting for some aftermarket oil filter. finally k&n has one available for us at $10.99 which is about the same price as the oem one.

That looks exactly like the OEM. Good to know, but I have so many oil filters for my car. I believe Tischer sells like 10 or so for $70.

if i can only tell you how many aftermarket oil filters ive seen in BMWs come apart in the filter housing that werent OEM youd poo your pants. run oem or OEM manufac.(hengst or mann) only...K&N is garbage.

There was a test of all aftermarket oil filters done a while back. They compared a bunch of types as well. K&N scored really low. I dont know if they have stepped up their Quality Control since.

You seem really excited. What's the advantage of a K&N oil filter supposed to be? If it's anything like their air filters, I'll be avoiding them.
