This M3 seems to cheap. What's the catch ?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2010-UK-BM...-/300830111912

Looking for a toy for summer & getting head around specs and prices etc. . .

Seems a good buy. Could be tempted by this but dont really want to buy now ( hasnt stopped me looking though) but rather wait a few months & have a GTR for summer.

What have i missed?

I know the e9x m3 prices were dropping hard but thats ridiculous. Apart from the mods seems ok. Give him a call and take it for a spin. Under warranty with bm too so give them a call. Still seems cheap to me.

Check if he is running budget tires. Usually a sign that its prob also tun on 95 Ron fuel. If this wad the case is prob walk away. In fact I wud walk away and wait for the gtr.

I can see its on falkens from pic & some poor grammar in description has a few alarm bells ringing but seems very good value especially when there are cars older with more miles for more money.

Description says heated seats but cant see the buttons on the pics ( unless they are in a different place to the 335d)

Now i have decided to take the plunge with something special this year the GTR is top of the list but this looked good. Wouldn't want an oldish M3 at top dollar prices due to newer models on the horizon to shaft used prices.

The ad states this:

"uk car iv changed the number to make it look a little more german"

So, a 2010 M3 with only 13k,or is it 14.5K, on the clock,for sale on Ebay @£26,500.

What could not be wrong with it?

The same seller also has this for sale:

They are German style pressed number plates, totall illegal in the UK and pointless!

The car is stolen, ANPR has a job to read the plates, you don't get your car back, wise move with an M3........

The guy also sounds like an idiot too, I mean his grammer is shocking!

Fallen tyres, nice selling point, it's one of the first things l look at on a car and anything budget there tells me he probably can't afford to run and maintain it.

Re the pressed plates - its not necessarily illegal as dubmeister in the UK doing them.

You need to send the company your V5 before they will do it but they claim its totally legal.

Terrible ad for a Prestige performance car.The whole ad just starts alarm bells ringing.
Check his feedback and he has only ever sold or bought crap!
Normally if it looks too good to be true,it usually is!!!!

I read a thread regarding about these pressed plates, even though the companies will say they're road legal or meets whatever requirement in the u.k law. It does not when the police stops you, they said that in uk the plates need to be made by reflective material and somehow metal isn't.

Good call, there has to be something wrong with it.

My 2008 335D with 33K miles on, is now up for sale at a BMW dealer for near on £23,000,very optimistic price, yes,but that M3 is peanuts in comparison.

If it sounds too good to be true.............................................!

There is no such thing as cheap deal in cars unless you want to risk it. I has happened to me once, so I will suggest to avoid this.

Sorry I am at work, I was meant to not post that. How fair would it be of me to disclose what we discussed?

Would you tell Mr Hotcoupe?

Fair or not fair, you should reveal just enough so that others who may be in a similar position know whether to consider or not, you know what I mean? Just for the benefit of everyone on this forum, it's good to know

Ok Sam2.

For the benefit of others on the forum. I personally would not buy it as there are too many inconsistencies.
