Atlanta people
Just moved to Atlanta and wondering where do you guys service your cars.
South BMW of Atlanta has really good reviews on google. Does anyone here service there? I am still under warranty for a few months (have the 2009 with me). In the future I might install an aftermarket FMIC, what shops would you recommend in the area? Any experience with Solo motorsports or Bavarian imports? Oh and importantly enough... Where should I wash my car? I used to do it by myself at a relative's house before I moved, or in rare occasions a touchless gas station wash. Where do you wash your cars around Atlanta? I don't mind driving a little. Thanks a lot |

Welcome to Atlanta! My work is near United Gwinnett and that's where I bought my car so I go there for service. The customer service has been good but they aren't really fans of mods. I guess most here like United Roswell best since Dan the parts guy is now there also.
Solo seems to me to be a great choice for trickier services such as an LSD or even coilovers. An FMIC is practically a do it your self mod so anywhere should be fine. I have my basic stuff done at my friends shop that specializes in Range Rovers (The Shop in Norcross, 678-352-4900). They did my FMIC btw. The only car washes on my BMW that I didn't do myself were at the dealer. My car is BSM so I'm very picky about swirl marks. The dealer did an OK job avoiding swirls but honestly I should have just told them to not wash it there.

Thank you!
I will probably go to solo if I decide on the intercooler later. Maybe an LSD too. For warranty service at the dealer can you recommend any specific service advisor? BMW south Atlanta is closer to me, but ill drive to Gwinnett if its better. I moved into an apartment here so I don't have anywhere to wash it myself. Is there a decent touch less wash here that I can use? Or somewhere that is a hand wash and not extremely expensive? I'm also used to washing my car myself... |

If I have to, or Im with a group of people, I will just take a bucket and my normal wash stuff to a coin spray wash and do it there and obvi dont use the scrubber.

BMW of South Atlanta is who I use. Never had any problems in the 8 years I've been going there. As far as SA, I'd recommend Pascal or Bryce.

I will go to either Gwinnett or South Atlanta for service. I am also considering getting CPO for my car before warranty expires in the summer.
Whenever I decide on installing a better intercooler I'll go to Solo, they seem the best from all I read. BTW, I went to wash my car at Avril's car wash. It was pretty good but I would never let them (or anyone else but that's me) clean the interior. When it gets warmer I really hope to be able to go maybe to a friend's house to wash my car when they do. If anyone here is into dirt bikes let me know! Considering bringing my CRF250X up from FL. |
