Got a $114 Ticket for Front Plate Placement in CA!!!

That's suck. What will happen to people like me who run out of state plate in CA? In NC only issue 1 plate

I haven't had a front plate for over 6-7 years. Never put one on the dash, because it's noticeable.

The one that, if you bought in cali, came with the car when you bought it. Its only purpose is to serve in place of registration, since the DMV won't have mailed that to you yet.

My friend and I both got ticketed on Easter last month. Cop gave my friend a citation for parking too far from the curb, and I got one for no front plate. I temporarily mounted the plate to my car and got a cop to sign off on it and I mailed it in with a $10 fix-it check. I just got another citation from the city in the mail stating that I owe them $79 for the ticket now (if you dont fix it the full price is $79). I checked my account and the check I sent in was cleared so they clearly got my ticket in the mail.

Good thing I took pictures of the citation, signatures, and badge numbers. Bunch of scumbags. Gonna call them tomorrow to try and get this straightened out.

I'm gonna look for a mounting bracket for my plate now. I dont have holes drilled, can anyone recommend an alternative?

I caved and got a tow hook holder because I was constantly being pulled over in San Francisco for not having plates. Twice on Geary Street, it's just a pain to get pulled over.
