PROcede Reader Software load index / boost
Hi
Yesterday I hooked on my laptop to perform some datalogging with the PROcede. The car runs perfect. The only time the load index value is zero is when the engine is shut off. As soon as I start the engine, the load index jumps to ~38 ( engine is idling ). Anybody experienced the same ? Boost: Is there a way to display boost in one of the 4 gauges ? I did'n investigate much in this, somebody knows ? I use PROcede Reader 1.01 and the v1.47 map. Appreciate your feedback. Thank you, Eugen |

ahhah true... you can logg it though. go data log and then click start log.... and then do a 3rd or 4th gear load and then pull over and click end logging...that way you dont have to stare at it while driving.
be safe! |

Thank you, I did so. I wanted to see the boost real-time in a gauge. If it's not possible, it's ok and I have to speed up to install my data logger. It will show the data real-time data on the laptop as well ( in a gauge ).

It raises and drops during driving depending on how you drive but the baseline ( lowest value ) is 38% in my car ( engine is idling ). This seems to be a little high.

Engine load is the pressure in the pre-throttle body intercooler tube. It will be around 40%, give or take a few points depending on air density/altitude. 40% is roughly 14.7psi of absolute pressure (0psi of boost).

Its normal, changes with altitude.
I noticed tho, once I changed my exhaust and got rid of the stock exhaust and pluged up the rear vaccum line it read @ a lower #. Maybe its just me tho.
