Thumbs up First time post, first tune... Cobb Addict!

Hi all,

First post. Just got a 2008 135i. Cobbed it and must say I am amazed... No issues with the install, took some time and reading to figure out the beta non beta thing. However I am running v300 for 2 weeks now and had zero issues (no codes, no nothing!) and the car is a beast! I cannot see how any other version was better...not planning on trying them, just waiting for final non beta version of the v30x

I had a number of bimmers before, never tuned so I just figured out that super car performance came in under a grand mod and 20 minutes in the driver seat watching it do its thing!

Awesome!

I really hate the v300. I was running v201 and loved it. v200 and v201 are my favorites. v300 has been killing me with WOT runs and early throttle closure. yesterday I had a long pull in 3rd gear and the car died on me threw SES and a few codes P2AAF and P2D59. Only if I could get v201 maps with all the additional new updates from v300.

You'll be the third case that I've seen with Cobb v 3.00 maps (including mine).

I talked to Ian from COBB and he said they are having a few people report this issue... they are working on a updated map and should be released next week to take care of this specific issue.

I think he said that initially but has stated recently that it works fine.

Yes and yes. Experienced the same issue as others on the v300 WOT run. Keep in mind again, this is a Beta-map and not the final, as mentioned, there might be some bugs in a Beta-map that need to be worked out.

I did go back to v203 on the latest firmware and am running good now without any mal-effect. Looking forward to the next update -

Got bored, decided to play with a virtual dyno on one of my stage 2 datalogs.
Right around 400 on pump gas, not bad for a beta map.

+1 that'll be the stage 3 map I'm testing, not beta yet and that's still being worked on...in any case if the above virtual dyno is indeed repeatable on a real Dynojet with a reasonable baseline then thats some really amazing numbers..given Cobb's Mustang numbers these numbers are VERY close...

I now really wonder what this same map, even with low boost on top, makes on my car with RBs

As long as you do it on a flat road and enter your cars info correct the virtual dyno is very accurate. It has been tested on many of the major forums. I don't have a baseline, but I plan on using this lil "tool" once ATR comes out.

Send me a datalog of 3rd gear and ill post up the results for your car.
