Fathers old 2004 e-class does what you want. It engages when the car is less than 10mph? And everyo e that walks past the car beeps so much its so annoying. If im driving in very tight space i would just manually turn the pdc on for help. You get used to it soon. Just rmb to never rely on techs too Much

I take it you're not given to hyperbole?

It's a better system, much less annoying. Unless you're a complete imbicile you could argue that front PDC is unnecessry in the first place but one that popped on every time I slowed down would drive me nuts.

+1
I never replied to this thread as I think front PDC is useless or its only for ladies when they are not sure about the space around them.

Eh? You can't switch on front or rear separately.

The switch isn't for the front PDC, it switches on front AND rear PDC if you haven't selected reverse.

Front and rear PDC can ONLY be on together, either both triggered by selecting reverse or pressing the button.

PDC also takes over the Idrive display / nav screen with a plan view front and rar proximity graphic, so you only want it on whilst reversing / shuffling backwards and forwards.
