Saint Peter will be waiting at the gates for them..... and he will f*ck them.

A quote from my Polish neighbour when his car got nicked. It made me smile because I thought he was going to say something religious.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

Are the police showing any remote interest or just dishing out a crime reference number and waiting for you to f*ck off and leave them to their tea and doughnuts?

Did they get in via the rear doors?
'Violated', 'via the rear doors' - are you lining these up for William?!

They got through a small bathroom window - side of the house in broad daylight. Must have used a ladder. I can't believe nobody saw them.

Turned out pretty much every drawer in the house.

Thanks for the offer Ian, we'll be ok

Having a look today at what other measures we can take Paul. Yes we're bothered about the Megane! It's got a tracker on it, so bound to turn up - it's bloody inconvenient.

What's wrong with this country.... even if they are caught they'll probably just get a slap on their wrists. It definitely should be more like a chop.

Stuff like this makes me angry.
Cheers Lars - I don't hold out much hope of them catching the bastards

They seem intersted, and spent a lot of time here yesterday (along with the SOCO). Time will tell, but I don't hold out too much hope. From experience, the initial reaction is pretty quick and thorough, but as time passes, things just fizzle out without any results or closing feedback.

I F**king hate stories like this, sorry to hear this Ed.

Had this happen to me a couple of times, it's horrible knowing that some scum has rumaged through all your personal belonging.

Try not to worry, it's why you have insurance, be grateful your other half wasn't in the house at the time, or walk in on them.

No doubt you'll be improving your locks, but try and get some advice from the police for areas that they think are weak. I had my house recently assessed, I thought it was pretty safe, ended up changing 3 locks.

It's not particularly high around here - seems to be petty stealing most of the time, nothing too personal or violent

Any sign of the Megane being "trackered" yet?

Christ, sorry to hear about that Ed! Not much you can do to get rid of the feeling of being violated in those kind of situations but it will go away over time. You need a ruddy great dog like us. Puts the shitters up anyone coming near the house. Hope the megane turns up!

Luckily looks like they were disturbed and left all the valuables and one spare set of M3 keys in the back garden.

Hats off to Tesco insurance who had someone around to change the locks within two hours, boo to Admiral who offered a £100 'goodwill gesture' towards replacing the barrel and keys for the car (before I found the spare set) - I hate to think how much that would have cost.
and on the day gordon brown was defending his record on crime, what bad timing!

Ed, really sorry to hear about this.

Hope Mandy and yourself are ok all things considered.

Any kind or form of violation is heinous imo but I feel sure neither of you will let the bastards win.
