JB3 v1.1 Dyno
Conditions: 68.9 deg F, 29.4 in-Hg
Humidity: 6% -> This seemed kind of low. STD: 1.01 Dyno run was done in Livermore, CA at Modacar with one single fan at the IC. No fan was pointed at the intakes. Car has DCI and I pumped about 9 gallons of 100 octane right before the runs. I didn't have a chance to do any WOT runs prior to the dyno run though. So it slowly adapted after the 3 runs as the graphs and numbers will show. This is my baseline before I put on an FMIC and power kept on creeping up the more runs we did. I think with enough runs, I would've made 350+ whp. 3rd and last run (best) was: 349.7 WHP 359.0 WTQ 2nd run: 345.2 WHP 356.73 WTQ 1st run: 342.3 WHP 349.5 WTQ On a side note, the Dynolicious App calculated 346 whp...pretty darn close! Also the speed hit close to 150 mph in 4th but the dyno measured 135 mph. |

pretty good numbers... did your jb3 come with the v1.1 chip? if not were you able to tell the difference before and after it?

Thanks for posting your results!
Few thoughts: Tq seems low to me (I don't see in your post ig you're 29.2/V81, but even if you are, I would expect to see tq a good chunk above hp). Also, why run 100 octane? Do you run it everyday, all the time? Last, did you get in a full, clean 1/4 mile run for your dynolicious to read the 346 whp? I rarely have the room to run like that, so I often have to settle for shorter blasts to get my readings. That said, I haven't come that close to 346 whp (using 0% loss, and 3500 lbs), on my brother's car with the JB3. I think it was something like 306 and 330 the last two times I did it. Granted, that's with 1.0, not 1.1, and that's some statistically scarry variation in numbers to accept them as being accurate. FYI - The only full 1/4 mile I have been able to fit in was on a SLIGHT (maybe 3-5 degrees) uphill, and I recorded a 13.1 @ 111 mph, so figure if it were level and I launched harder, it'd be a 12.7 @ 113 or so, which I guess if near par for the JB3. ezatnova: I have a Pre 29.2 ecu and wired the JB3 as such. The powerband to me looks similar to a 29.2 ecu, might be the 1.1 chip, IDK. As far as the dynolicious, I do 0-60 mph runs to practice launching. My DT loss is 20% and 3750 pounds. I place my phone on the phone holder in the arm rest and consistently got 340 whp.
I run 100 octane most of the time because I don't have DPs and the car feels better with it. |
